X Your last meal

OK, you have been taken prisoner and are going to be executed. You get one last meal. Anything you want. What is it?

And no, you may not order weapons or tools. LOL

Bravo1-3 10-02-2004 16:42

Kalua Pig, Lau Lau, Mauna Pua, Pork Hash, Pancit Bihon, and a loaded slice of pizza from AJ's in Rockaway NJ.

Kyobanim 10-02-2004 17:15

A 5 pound T bone steak, slow baked potato and green salad. When I'm finished I'll fight my way out with the bone. :lifter (you didn't say anything about not turning your food into a weapon)

Gypsy 10-02-2004 19:15

Surf and Turf! Filet cooked rare w/shrimp scampi, salad, baked potato and chocolate chip ice cream for dessert.

Just last night I read a history of prisoner's last meals and some examples were noted. The general trend was on ordinarly delights and not the spectacular.

Some say the last meal tradition goes back to Jesus's last meal. Others state it goes back further. One theory is that the condemned souls were about to go on a long journey and needed a meal to sustain them on the trip.

To answer the question posed, I would say a steak and baked potato, followed by a good dip of copenhagen.

I love that we have so many medics who dip!

BTW, I am still going strong after quitting cold turkey weeks ago. I wanted one very badly this afternoon. :lifter

If my wife could prepare my last meal, it would be as follows: Korean style BBQ ribs (Kalbi) with rice, Kimchi (radish, cucumber, and cabbage), and all the fixin's (hot pepper sauce, lettuce wraps, garlic and green peppers). And since I'm dying, I'd wash it all down with a couple bottles of soju and a case of Corona. For desert, I'd have a Hershey Sundae pie.

Steak medium rare with scrambled eggs and cheese with bacon, sausage, hash browns, and wheat toast- from the Waffle House, naturally.

brewmonkey 10-05-2004 10:07

a 6 pack of Westmalle Dubbel and a plate full of sauerbraten.

Easy...To go home and have my Mothers Lasagna....and I can't just have ONE serving. I've gotta have at LEAST 3 pans. That should take me a good 10 days to eat it. Hey....I wanna DIE Happy. :D

.....and if that ain't good enough....Gimme a Fork....."F**K your Canoe...." :lifter

Guy 10-05-2004 12:07

I highly doubt that is going to happen.

After graduating SERE school and watching some of these executions on video.

I have come to the conclusion some time ago...

"You have a better chance of running thru hell with, gasoline underwear on...than capturing me alive." :D

A bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Original Recipe, all dark meat, preferably thighs.

Read into this whatever you like.

;)

(there are KFC's all over Thailand, but they only have this assed-up version of Extra Crispy--no Original Recipe. Boo.)

As a woman, I guess the appropriate feminist response is supposed to be to get up on a stump and declare my disgust at such a statement.

But, 'ya kno what ? I can't stop laughing ! Out loud, no one is home and I just keep cracking up while sitting here at the computer ! All of you QP's and associates do this to me all the time !
You ALL have come up with some CLASSIC lines and we're not even in the comedy thread!!

Anyway, back to the last meal topic :

Atmosphere and surroundings would be important for a last meal. White linen table cloth and napkins and fresh flowers (preferably roses) on the table. Candlelight. Fine china, crystal and silver with soft music playing. (This IS my LAST meal, right ? Ok, so it's the whole nine yards. )

A cocktail before dinner. (Still trying to decide).

A nice lobster bisque as an appetizer.

Main course: similar to Gypsy in that I would say Surf and Turf, but it would be lots of surf and just a little bit of turf. Definitely the surf would be lobster. Fresh vegetable as the side dish.

White wine, medium dry. Product of the USA. I'd ask RL or one of the others here for a suggestion.

Chocolate turtle cheese cake (with crushed chocolate wafers as the crust.)

Godiva cappucino liqueur.

Don't smoke cigars.
:D

I think you'd like one of the Kistler Chardonnays. Peter Michaels are also very nice.

Good luck with the requests for china and music and stuff. LOL

Razor 10-06-2004 16:43

A dozen boiled eggs, two giant beef and bean burritos, a can of B&M baked beans, and a gallon of milk to wash it all down. It may be my last meal, but it'll sure be one they'll remember once that all digests and they come back to my cell for me. :D
