Gov't irony....

Something to ponder...

Isn't it ironic that the food stamp program, part of the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be distributing the greatest amount of food stamps ever?

Meanwhile, the Park Service, also part of the Department of Agriculture, asks us to "PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS" because the animals may grow dependent and not learn to take care of themselves

I agree completely with the sentiment; however, the Park Service is in the Dept. of the Interior. The Forest Service is in the Dept. of Ag and does post those same types of signs.

Thanks for keeping me straight....as you can tell, I'm not that well "Gov't versed"...LOL

Hey, it was an email. I do go along with the sentiment also...

Indeed; such a monolith lives for such performance metrics and the perpetration, nay the expansion, of their rice-bowl.

I know who I work for & why. I don't recall seeing:
"...provide for the Common Belly."

There's another. Animals can get free birth control.

People do too, if they are ugly enough and avoid places that serve alcohol.

Sir, I'd respectfully add "drunken sailors" to the above list of venues/people to stay clear of. :D:D
Alas, during pay-pay week ends I've seen certain things out in town, the knowledge of which most mortals could never withstand. :D
