I frequent Dubai and No restaurants in the UAE sells Pork, Alligator, and the rest you mentioned above, however grocery stores have an abundance of pork product to include fresh meat that can only be consumed in the privacy of your home. None of the other GCC countries allow pork into their country. In Kuwait we have to get it from someone on the base or at the embassy.

Same applies to Israel, Just wanted to put that out their before someone comes along and starts bashing Islam again because they dont consume pork.

Oh Man, I have had some of the Best Bacon Cheesburgers in the GCC, but its Beef Bacon which IMO tastes better than pork bacon on a burger, but not for breakfast.

Personally, I'm glad they don't eat pork. Extra ribs for me.

Islam states that a Muslim man can marry a Muslim, Christian or Jewish woman (only monothesis religions permitted to marry)

A Muslim woman can only marry a Muslim Man, which means if a man is born Christian he must convert and so on.

Iran follows shite Islam which has vastly different guidlines from Sunni Islam. Shite Islam permits 24hour marriage or "Mutha" which in their words prevents infidility, so basically you say something between yourself and the woman, then get at it.

Nothing that comes across the Gulf surprises me.
