Picante Squirrel
I wanted something spicy for supper and decided on a new recipe "Picante Squirrel". I put several squirrels in the crock pot for 4 hours and then poured a jar of Picante Sauce into the mix. After a total of 8 hours the concoction was ready. The squirrel was falling off the bones and had a great looking red sauce. I put it over a bed of rice and man was it well worth the weight.
This would be a good recipe for a lot of game animals that need to be slow cooked to get em nice and tender. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...quirrel006.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...quirrel008.jpg |
Looks good, and I've had squirrel before, but I wouldn't know what to do after I've killed one.

Now that was an inspired idea. I'm going to to try that one:cool:.

Yep big fangy teeth on those Tree Rats and they are some great eats. Grocery stores don't sell the good meat you have to get out and shoot and conquer it..:)
Kill it and Grill it......:munchin |
Looks delicious, I can't wait to try it here in a few weeks.
