Technology

Technology has outpaced street smarts in the info wars.

A bad, bad thing when you're the man on the street.

Some things are hard to teach out of a book - takes years of doing, and you still might get rolled up.

Not everyone you play against is stupid just because they don't speak English.

And a secret between you and a politician is no secret.

They claim it was informants, not actual CIA agents as far as I understand it..... However it still hurts their mission there that's for sure.......:( It's a tough job and I wouldn't want it,thank God some people are willing to do it.....:(

or a secret at WH level from a desk jockey double agent, not necessarily just politicians.

RIP to the "rolled up".

This will have an impact for years to come. Let's hope the caught informants don't roll-over others. It has to stop somewhere.

The first in-first caught crowd ala 'Spies Like Us' - better send in Kieth Idema to save them and MY to tell the whole story before it's too late.

And so it goes...

From the article: "Meanwhile, Iranian intelligence officials uncovered the online communication method that CIA-funded spies in that country used"

Online seems awfully risky.

Unfortunately we DO NOT operate as securely as we did 5 years ago.

bkleonards 11-22-2011 08:39

Why trust in "Tradecraft" when you can log on Twitter or Facebook. Similar thing happened about 15 years or so ago when we had approximately 50 assets rolled up in Iran.
