"Targeted" on the History Channel
"Targeted" on the History Channel.
Did anyone catch this last night? Talked about the hunting of OBL, Al-Queada and the Taliban. Who is doing what and where. Pretty interesting, anyone else catch it? |
I haven't seen that one, but I've been watching their shows on OIF. Good stuff. I think I'm on a time delay on that channel.

Saw it.
I had a good laugh when they reported telling the locals to get ready to put UBL "On Ice so we can present his head on a platter"... and the guys went out and bought a big box of dry ice and a silver platter. :D Outstanding! I got really REALLY pissed off (no REALLY) at the fact that we had set the wheels in motion to catch UBL or kill him (I don't know how true that is, but they made it seem like the shooters were about an hour from "wheels up") when the Clinton Admin Lawyer said that we couldn't do it because it was against international law or something. They should have shot the lawyer and carried on with the mission. They reported another incident in which they had him located, and were going to bomb the place that we were positive he was staying at... reported as our people over there actually had eyes on the target. But there was an airplane registers to some member of the UAE Royal Family parked there, and they (The Clinton Admin) didn't want to risk killing a member of a "friendly" foreign government. Lets assume that both of these stories are true as reported. Does anyone else see a pattern here? |
How about when:
They stated that, "After the bombing of the 2 Embassies in Africa the Gloves really came off." So Clinton shot serval dozen Tomahawks into a camp a week after OBL left. Or the fact that the CIA contacted some Northern Alliance Fighters to help them capture or kill OBL. The locals had good intel that OBL was going to be at a camp, pass it on to the CIA they give the "Green Light". The locals go marching through the hills to rocket the camp. But while on there way to the OBJ, back in D.C. a CIA Lawyer gets wind of whats going and tells the agents, "You don't have authority to kill him, only to capture him." So the Agents get a frantic message to the locals to cease and desist only to find out that the locals are already out of commo range. Later they find out that OBL was not in the camp in the 1st place. Way to really go after him/them and, "Take the Gloves Off." I think they cited atleast a half dozen incidents in which they had OBL in there sights between the 2 Embassy bombings and the bombing of the USS Cole but the Commander in Chief didn't have the sac to take him out. However after the USS Cole the Commander in Chief placed several subs and other naval vessels capable of striking camps inside Afghanistan (with Tomahawks Again) within "Hours" of the Commander in Chief giving the go ahead. Again way to "Take the Gloves off". The most interesting thing I found about the Show was the post 9/11 coverage. Specifically the TF 121 and what they are doing in Afghanistan. I would bet that OBL will be caught and or killed soon. |
