IV chat....

I'm not a medic and am not up on whats out there now. That said, I recently had to receive IV at home. I was impressed by the delivery system.
It was an "Elastomeric Infusion Pump".
The meds were in a balloon inside a very sturdy bottle with tubing attached.
"This pump does not rely on gravity to infuse the medication."

I was wondering if we have anything like this out there as the meds not need to be elevated to work. Pressure of the Balloon delivers the fluids.

used for all kinds of meds...largest I've seen is 400 mL. Not that price/cost is an issue for the DOD but one of those is equal to 2 cases of regular IVF bags.

Agreed on cost...

Thought they'd be expensive. I just know the ability to put it in a guy's pocket and not have to present a high profile is a good thing...
Thanks for the quick response.
Regular IVs are great for Aid stations and higher, but I could see a tactical use for these.
