Saudia Arabia's King Abdullah passed away (Unconfirmed rumor)

True? Not true? Hard to say, but if true it will complicate matters I think. Rhetorical question - could this represent the beginning of WW III?

Islam Times - Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz passed away yesterday, according to an Islam Times reporter...

Islam Times: Saudi Arabia's 86-year-old King Abdullah was discharged from a New York City hospital in good health after going through two back operations in December 2010. The king delegated the management of the affairs of the world’s largest oil supplier to his half-brother, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, during his absence.

King Abdullah talked with Obama about the situation in Egypt over the phone yesterday. Obama and the King got into a heated debate about their opinions of what Hosni Mubarak should do. After the phone call sources stated that King Abdullah was furious and then suffered a sudden heart attack.

Doctors ran to his rescue but were unable to save him. He was pronounced dead, but his death was not reported due to the sensative conditions that exist in the region. The Saudi Arabian government will reject this claim; but the ball is in their court to prove that he is alive.

I had seen a few rumors on that yesterday.

Little more detail in this story. If true I wonder just how long they can sit on it as stories continue to grow around it.

That would be extraordinarily bad timing.

Yeah, that could be an Archduke of Ferdinand-ish event, but it smells fishy whether he died or didn't.

The writer of the article seems as if he is attempting to shift and lay blame on the US and our president for the King's passing.

Mentioning two trips to NY to have medical procedures done. Incompetent medical staff will be the next headline. CIA led operation to poison or otherwise kill the King. The CIA is always killing people

Heart attack suffered after speaking with the US President about the Egypt situation. I can see this one being the most aggrandized of them all. Headline will read and incite violence around the world:

US President Kills King Abdullah!

I'm sorry, but this little bastard seems to be fanning the flames to me.

We'll see how well this plays out in the next few days. I'm gonna load some more mags just in case somebody gets itchy and decides to riot. :D

Lots of google hits but most referencing each other as sources.

Bryan Suits reported unconfirmed rumors yesterday that King Abdullah suffered a mild heart attack after a harsh, unpleasant telephone conversation with President Obama. Such rumors are a tool of and SOP for the protestors and anti-government forces, and were used against government officials in Tunisia when this Arab/Islamic revolution began.

Of course, brother NMAP, your peak oil prediction could and will hasten their decision.

God bless Texas.:munchin

Plus, the have a young and fast-growing population. To buy peace, they need to create jobs and other nice things for the public. Which may well mean that their domestic consumption will increase as their production declines.

That plateau in Peak Oil theory? That's total production - what gets exported may decline sharply. Those of us in consuming nations might think about that.

Stay safe, my brother.
