Thomas Sowell, Milk and the EPA

Spilled Milk

http://www.nationalreview.com/articl.../thomas-sowell

"........We all understand why the EPA was given the power to issue regulations to guard against oil spills, such as that of the Exxon Valdez in Alaska or the more recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. But not everyone understands that any power given to any bureaucracy for any purpose can be stretched far beyond that purpose............"

Government - it is the problem.

Having seriously studied this problem since you first posted that link I have concluded that the best defense against an unintended milk spill is a containment field made up of Oreo cookies.

From now on any milk delivery vehicle will be required to keep at least one case of Oreos per 100 gallons of milk on hand to staunch the spill of milk. Additionally trucks will be required to carry one multi roll package of Select-A-Size Bounty paper towels....although no kleenixes as there will be no crying over the spilt milk.

Training will begin immediately.

Once again, the envelope of stupidity is pushed out a little further. Only the idiots in the U.S. government could deduce that crude oil poses the same risk to the environment as butter....

Can ya just see it now. An overturned milk tanker and the HAZMAT crew is out there with their moon suits, straw dams, kitty litter and skimmmers trying to get it up before the kids get out of school and see them.

There are also a lot of laws and politics around raw milk. A pesticide that contains a chemical that causes genetic mutation of frogs is fine to put on my food but raw milk from a cow is illegal.:munchin
