Our new Congressman Allen West, LTC(r) is trying to put a face on the new Republican party. He convened a Town-Hall meeting of his constituents in the village of Boynton Beach, a sleepy little Snow Bird enclave, between Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale..

Of course CNN takes the left view that it was a pep-rally for the tea party. They also seen to side with Nezar Hamze, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Miami.

As if this was the only topic..

Besides bugging the Congressman about his concealed carry permit..

I love it when they want to stir-up the masses..

LTC West scares the hell out of the left and they'll be trying to trash him more and more, he seems to be OK with that and handles them well. We need more like him....jd

IMO, Congressman Allen West, LTC(r) is a breath of fresh air amongst political blowhards.

Let's hope he fulfills his potential - DC can be such a quagmire.

Happened to see Him on one of the news shows. He was insightful and smart. He knew what he was talking about (wasn't just repeating press-points pulled together by an aide).The man knows history. It was wonderful!! Wish him well.

Al is a good friend, we were in Astan as contractors on the same team for 18 months. Had the honor of going to his swearing in ceremony etc.
What the article didn't say is that Al opened the town hall questioning by saying...'Let me take questions first from those that did not vote for me'...also, at the end Mr.Hamze told the news media that he was impressed that Al wanted to hear his opposing opinion.

I deem that a "cerebral ass whuppin'"

I recently watched him participate in a meeting with several Tea Party members on C-Span. After watching it for several minutes it became quite clear that he was absolutely the best speaker of them all. He is a great speaker and gave quick pertinent replies to the answers thrown at him. It was refreshing to see someone confidently provide relevant anwers to questions given him from the audience without having to concoct some type of answer that really doesn't apply. He is definitely a squared away individual and will go far in politics, IMO. He is certainly a breath of fresh air as was said in an earlier post.
