Rather scarey projections! I saw a video on a study of muslim populations and one of the contributing factors is that people in the "West" don't procreate like they used. One example given was in France, where the birthrate for muslims is 8.1 and nonmuslim French, 1.8. That kind of birthrate can destroy an existing culture. Our birthrate is decreasing in the US and Canada.

(as soon as find the video, I will post it. I think its from 2007 or 2006 but the numbers could not have changed that much)

There is a video that I have seen that discusses birth rates between muslims and non-muslims in the world. Long story short, the video basically said the only thing keeping the US from being run over by muslims and their birth rate was the almost equally as high birth rate for the Mexican/Central/South American population. Of course, I take videos like this with a grain of salt and do not view it as absolute truth, BUT the presence of such a report as the one introduced by the OP has left me with a raised eyebrow.

Ped, the French gov't is, of course.

Of course the French gov't is paying for those in France...but what about here in the states? Is the birth rate comparable, and where are the resources coming from to support these large families?

Maybe Obamacare could Norplant them upon arrival;...

I just figured out how to solve the immigration problem and coming entitlements crisis in one fell swoop.


Restrict immigration exclusively to fertile, unmarried, childless women between the ages of 18 and 25.
Legalize polygamy nationally.

Personally, I prefer quality over quantity. Besides - it makes a lot more sense to control imigration.
