Ranger Class 11-10
Today was a proud day for me. Today my Nephew graduated from Ranger School. Today was also great becuase it was graduation of the first Ranger school course 60 years ago. That class graduated on 13 NOV 1950 and then shipped off to Korea on 14 & 15 NOV 1950.
Todays Guest Speaker was CSM (R) Chuck Waters. CSM told it how it was then and how it is still the same now. Great speaker and funny times. Best part for me apart of pinning the Black and Gold onto my Nephew's shoulder was when the RTB Col asked for all of the current and former Ranger school grauduates to please stand and recite the Ranger Creed with the Ranger Class. This was great for me, first time to recite the creed in about six years. Made me teary-eyed and dry mouth all in the same. Great to see a whole 7th Group ODA (with theri BN CoC) there to watch their team member graduate. Conraduations to all the Rangers from Class 11-10. Rangers Lead the Way!! |
Congratulation to your nephew and yourself..

Congratulations to the young man. Hopefully, they still have a Ryan's buffet in Columbus. Most of what I remember about Ranger school is a very intense hunger.

That kind of intense hunger? |
