President Bush on oprah

I NEVER watch that show, but might have to make an exception. Airs tomorrow 9 November.

One-on-one with former President George W. Bush. What he says now about his most difficult decisions. Plus, President Bush sits down with his parents

He is on NBC right now and it is starting good......

I didn't agree with everything that man did but as a human I don't think we have had a better President, and unlike his predecessor when he gets all choked up it is genuine and not just a good act of political theater.

Former President Bush will be at a book signing event for his new book here at a Borders bookstore near his home at 0830 this morning - people began lining up last night for the event...camping out overnight and having a line stretching around the entire strip mall where the bookstore is located - the morning news just talked with a woman who is #21 in the line and she lined up yesterday afternoon at 1630.

I'm not sure a similar event by the current POTUS would generate such excitement...at least not in this part of his own country. ;)

And so it goes...

Mine don't either but the wife's does. Her camping trip with her best friend was a hoot. The base for the story was the Black Park Ranger on a NatGeo show who opined on the lack of color in campers/hikers at the National Parks.

It appeared everyone else in the park enjoyed Oprah and friend's visit. I think they did also - after they got the camper set up and the fire going.

That was one of the few shows where as I was walking through I had to stop and watch.

Wonder whose fault that is...but I digress...

The former President is a class act...unfortunately, I don't have Oprah or the View programmed on my DVR...

 :D

I don't have a DVR/Tivo so I didn't record it...might stay up late to watch the rerun (Oh yes, Chicagoans can watch her twice. Where's the pukey smilie??) or maybe try to find clips on YouTube or something.

I watched Lauer's interview. I believe this still from the movie Land of the Lost sums up how I feel about his journalistic work.
