Torrington Man Arrested For Allegedly Making Threats With A Bow Saw
The Register Citizen, 25 May 2010

A Torrington man who allegedly threatened two people with a bow saw at a Litchfield campsite on Saturday was arraigned in court Monday.

Police said Ronald RJ Garno, 42, was drunk, brandishing a bow saw and carrying a buck knife at his hip when he approached a New York man and his Roxbury nephew at 2:25 a.m. on Saturday while the men were at a Point Folly campsite on Bantam Lake. Garno allegedly began making threats against the two men, who police said he did not know.

Garno, of 37 Farnham St., Apt. 3, allegedly told the New York man he killed “at least eight people” with a bow saw while he was a Navy SEAL in Iraq, court documents alleged. He then allegedly drew his 6” buck knife and dropped it several times, the complainants said.

Damn, now I'm going to have to get a permit for my bow saw. I suppose my garden hoe is next.

You should be okay as long as the missus doesn't find out.

Hard to saw flesh with a bow saw....

....unless it's frozen.

Can do some nasty, nasty tear cuts though.

Now you can take it and ...............

Not gonna be a silent kill, though...unless you take out the guy before you....wait...if you can do that, why do you need a bow saw?

Sten 05-25-2010 07:34

Is it a macho thing with the SEALS to use bow saws in Iraq or should we get the navy to have a bake sale to make some cash to buy them guns?

Richard 05-25-2010 07:38

The guy is a douche, but it's worth remembering how simple acts like wearing a buck knife will paint a picture later in the press and in the court if one gets in trouble for other stuff.

Should have had a SAW instead of a saw.
