Anyone know of any particularly good realtors they can recommend?

Been in group for 3 years now and I've decided to stick around for awhile so I'm considering buying a house in the area. Could use someone familiar with the area and market to make this as painless as possible. Currently in Afghan so the inspection/purchase process wouldn't start for awhile, I know there are wives and family friends who broker on the side so in these trying economic times I would prefer to give my business (clean up your thoughts) to someone related to the community.

There was a 1st SFG retired CWO3 Guy Johnson - I don't know where or what agency he works for now. I beleive he was with local Century 21.

If you decide to go with a civilian, I'll PM you the one that we used when we moved from Picatinny Arsenal to here. We did everything from New Jersey, and only had to fly here once to check out the properties before we made an offer. Got the house for 20 under whats its value is, but they're starting to creep back up. I won't have the info until my wife wakes up tomorrow, but let me know if you need it.

I have a Realtor who was great to work with. I recommended her to friend of mine (18C in my company) and he had a great experience. Also, one of her son is an SF NCO with 10th Group.

She mainly works around the Ft Lewis area (I bought my place in Lacey and my buddy bought his place in Dupont).

If you use USAA they have the Movers Advantage program where they link you up with a local preferred Realtor. They also give you cash when you close on a house, it starts at $750 and goes up to $1500 depending on the price of the house you buy. So far me and wife have been very happy with the Realtor we have been working with.

Heading to the area as well. Looking into Lacey as that seems to be one of the better towns outside of Tacoma. Pm's enroute to those who have leads.
