M1D Garand

Gents

I have come across a M1D from Korea with a legend.

I am trying to track serial numbers on the receiver, scope, trigger group and flash suppressor.

Anybody have a link to a SN - years made list?

PM me if you don't want to respond to the thread.

Thanks
Angry

There are quite a few out there. This one should give you a good indication on the receiver.

It looks like the M1D was a rebuild of existing riffles and may contain several parts of different weapons. http://scott-duff.com/M1D.htm

This is about the most informative site I've come across for the Garand. http://www.thegca.org/

Mike,

Send me your numbers. I'll check them in my book The M1 Garand 1936-1957 by Joe Poyer and Craig Riesch.
