St Louis is on the miserable list because of. . . . the . . . Rams? That is ridiculous!
This is a Baseball town! With Albert and the boys, this place is better then the Magic Kingdom.

Must really suck to be from Chicago -- Bears, Cubbies and Bulls

I'm pretty much miserable whenever I'm in any city. ;)

Is there something about living near the great lakes that makes it especially crappy? 25% of the towns on that list are near a great lake.

Concur, Bob. Closest "city" to me has a pop of 2,200, and that's just way too many folks in one place.

Washington DC should have been on the list. What a toilet bowl.

Criteria include violent crime, unemployment, foreclosures and abandoned housing, taxes, commute times, weather, superfund pollution sites, and sports teams (when applicable).

I like it pretty well here in North Texas. :D

And so it goes...

Richard's $.02 :munchin
