To you and me this may not seem like a big deal. But I’m told this is hugely significant and shows just how out of touch the Obama administration is with the intelligence community. I’m told that no other President has issued such blanket statements of public mourning directed toward an attack on the CIA and thereby having the White House itself confirming an attack on our intelligence community.

The intelligence community is licking its wounds right now and Obama’s rush to confirm for the world that the community suffered such wounds has the intelligence community simmering tonight and Al Qaeda preparing a PR blitz with what they view as good news.

UPDATED: Take the information above and couple it with this. The White House is subtly blaming the intelligence community for the failure to deduce the Delta/Northwest attack.

Why?

Presidential aides are concerned that Obama will somehow be unfairly accused of dropping the ball on the fight against terrorist in Yemen

Because the President is worried about being blamed, the White House is trying to blame the CIA while at the same time undermining the CIA through a rush to publicize the Afghan attack.

Either this White House is willfully trying to sabotage the intelligence community or they are rank amateurs. I pray to God in Heaven it is the latter.

No surprises here. The current admin has it's priority f' up.

This is the same administration that refused to acknowledge than Hassan's massacre was a terrorist act and so far didn't charge Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab with terrorism. In fact, I don't think it's possible to get charge with terrorism unless you happen to be a white male/veteran of the armed force and upset about the current course of the country.

Oh well, all great empires had their ends.

All that matters is The One. Everybody else can expect the bus. Anyone who gets in the way. It is just that simple.

Mr Panetta should have all of this cleared up in just a few days.

I don't believe Obama and his clowns are that stupid or that inept.....but I do believe they would create a situation or crisis to take advantage of.

Rahm Emanuel even went as far as to defend that particular leadership rationale.
...anything is possible with politicians cut from this cloth.

I also believe it is incorrect to suggest that the administration has its priorities out of whack. I believe the administration has its priorities in the exact order they want them in.
The American public does not know whats best for them, and the administration is 'appreciative' of the crisis process because it allows them to "educate" those of us that just dont "get-it"

They are like kids with matches who create a 'little fire' so they can see the Fire Trucks. They know exactly what they are doing, they have it all under control.....unless of course it is windy and they forgot to take the wind into consideration. Stupidity or ineptitude maybe, I believe it is blind arrogance.

This is the logical result of hiring left-wing activists and liberal ideologues with no experience, and putting them in charge of large bureaucracies during challenging times.

I am in no way surprised by this, other than the terrorists' slow reaction to take advantage of the situation.

Taliban factions are apparently fighting to take credit for the attack -- proof of what a victory this has provided to our enemies. Why would our administration choose to do this?
