Forty Years Ago Today

Forty years ago today I was standing strip alert at Ban Don with 4 gunship's and 4 slicks.
Mid-afternoon the Santa 'Bou landed with Doughnut Dollies and f-ing newies.
I had to pass up a free jug of good sippin' likker.
Newies want to know what we were doing on the strip with gun's and slick's,because there was a truce.

Lyin' thru my teeth, "NVA and VC have been known to break the truce" so we are out here and all our bird's aren't in one place.
Newies said " it's about time someone over here started thinking"!! :D
