This is not a shock to me.

President, and First Lady Bush are a class act. They have always been there for the military and our nation; not personal gain.

Carter did not go, Clinton did not go, zero went because it was in zero's best interest to be present.

The term comes to my mind "Quiet Politician" A title that could be described as one who is confident of his abilities, responsibilities, & accountabilities. One that is guided by an unseen force to accomplish an extremely difficult mission & is not moved by personal costs but by the success of his endeavor. One whose satisfaction & fulfillment comes not from those masses who applaud & praise while it is popular, but from the inner comfort of doing the right thing & accomplishment of one's mission.

President Bush and Laura Bush were so supportive of me and my family after Chris crossed over. I have heard the same thing over and over again from other Gold Star families I have met over the past four years. I would expect nothing less from both of them, and I know first hand how important his prescence and professionalism means to the families at Ft. Hood.
