528th Sustainment Bde. Medics
Perhaps this question is a bit out of range of this forum, but I was hoping that it might be relevant enough to get some answers.
I was perusing the internet and stumbled upon this article regarding the 528th Sustainment Brigade and the following caught my eye: Quote:

SOCM
First, I tried SG link, it didn't work for me.
But to give you some light in a nutshell. Yes, most 68W's (and other medical MOS's if required) in the 538th go through Special Operations Combat Medic (SOCM) IF they are assigned to a unit and slot that requires it. SOCM is the first 26 weeks of the actual 18D MOS portion of the SFQC. Rangers, AF PJ's, SEALS, and some MARSOC go through SOCM also. Females are restricted from going through this course, not to say none have done so, but it is on a strict case-by-case basis. Hope this helped. Here's the S3's number in the sustainment BDE if ya really want more info, hopefully it's still a good number. 910-432-9576/9598 |

I have a good buddy I went through SOCM with that is a medic over there. He was a Ranger then got RFSed and ended up there. He loves it, he gets alot of good medical schools, and does good missions.
