He apparently has contempt for the Founders, and is well-versed in Orwellian doublespeak; economic freedom actually means wealth distribution.

I've been waiting to hear more about the feelings Barack has for the country for awhile now. Ironically it's when deployed to Iraq that I have the most time to research on what's been going on in the country. Thank all of you who contribute to The Soapbox. It's far easier to find credible resources here than anywhere else I look where I have to drudge through the opinionated/fallacious/ill-informed muck to get to such good articles.

Back on topic though. I'm worried about a future in which the leader of the free world hates the freedom he's supposed to defend and despises the foundations of which he was created; democracy and capitalism.

I wonder if the POTUS will use the current economic crisis to institute long-term modifications to our economic system.

If we suppose, purely for the purposes of discussion, that a double-dip recession is in the cards, and that the economy will get a great deal worse, then his ideas about wealth redistribution might find support. That's troubling.

The nature of his thinking is easily exposed.

(1) He refers to the "so-called founders", nothing so-called about it, they were the founders.
(2) "Poitical Freedom is supposedly a cornerstone", NO, it is the corner stone.
(3) From the teachings/writings of the Founder Fathers, their views on commerse and banking, "Distribution of Wealth" is implied, to each of us to make our own success with limited Government in our lives.
