And you know if his name wasn't Michael Vick and he couldn't throw 'Da Ball' and if the NFL couldn't make a small fortune on Vick he would be serving a much longer sentence.

Yeah, Vick is a piece of shit, but the NFL is a much larger pile of shit for allowing him back in.

I to blame the NFL for not cracking down on all the thugs that play for them.
Add to that Stalworth of the Cleavland Brown's just getting thirty days after being convicted of vehicle manslaughter while drunk. The NF L's big punishment was suspension for one season. If anything this will prolong his carreer.
Wonder what my punishment would be if I got drunk right now, took my truck for a drive and ran someone over.

I know a guy who went out drinking with his uncle - single vehicle wreck in which his uncle was killed but he survived - he's doing 7 years in prison with no consideration for any early release. But this is Texas. ;)

Vick has never been a team player; this matchup with McNabb will be interesting to follow. Vick also has a rep as a "coach killer".

IMHO, the NFL should wake up to the fact that they are supplying some thugs with tons of money. This money supports a life style that often runs counter to good of society. The large sum of money is aslo used to "buy " the kind of leagle teams that reduces fines and jail time, if any. I have trouble seeing how any of this is good for the NFL.

Mr Vick should spend the next five years mucking out horse stalls, and cleanimng dog crap from the streets of Atlanta. He should not be representing the NFL as a professional athlete.

I believe that Mr. Vick should be placed in a gladiator training program and forced to fight televised weekly death matches in hand to hand combat till the end of his life.

Betters (and perhaps call-in voters) would be allowed to wager on the outcome and decide if he were to live or die at the end of each match.

Not a done deal yet, guys. Two little-reported conditions in the deal:

1. The Eagles have to provide Vick with suitable kennel facilities which he can reject in his sole absolute discretion; and

2. He wants to wear the number "K9".

Pete Rose was banned for life for merely betting on ball games.

Micheal Vick was convicted of multiple felonies and yet is allowed to go back to playing football.. making millions of dollars.. I am disgusted.
Pond slime is a higher life form than Vick...hel he is so damn low he could walk upright under a pregnant ant.. I never much liked Football, and now I care for it even less..

Money be damned... look at the message they, the owners and players, send out to those who look up to sports figures.. "hey man, I can be a pos slimeball, get convicted of multiple felonies, serve a bit of time in jail and still come back to make millions of dollars"... did I mention previously I am totaly disgusted. :mad::eek:

A local kid I know, he hit a pedestrian with his car, while intoxicated, left the scene of the accident and left a person dieing. The pedestrian who's leg was severed 'might' have survived had the boy stopped and called 911.

Thanks to Mommy and Daddy's money and civic ties he served a 120 day sentence.

Just goes to show that money talks when it comes to sentences and time served.

I really have to question your judgment if you think this is good. He has only repented because he is wanting to get the $$$ back into the bank. He would have never stopped if he did not get caught.

I also question the NFL's decision to let him back in. I think this sends a bad message to all. They should ban him like baseball did to Pete Rose. it would get their attention and people would think twice about this type of behavior.
