Atlanta Restaurants

Need recommendations for restaurants for client lunches and dinners. Midtown preferred. Would prefer something expensive/impressive/great or something great and unique to Atlanta or the South even if the place looks like a dive. Like a great soul food place for example.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Justin's on Peachtree and Sylvia's on Central are two ow the top "soul food" restaurants in Atlanta. not sure if they have a website. I'll do some checking.

Bacchanalia and Kevin Rathbun Steak are both great up scale restaurants in Atlanta. Just to warn you it can be difficult to get a dinner reservation at Bacchanalia.

South City Kitchen and Watershed both have a southern influence are also very good.

Six Feet Under is a casual place with good food and an extensive beer list.

Daddy d’z is my favorite BBQ place in Atlanta. The neighborhood around it can be a little rough.

All of the above mentioned restaurants are located within 10-15 min from Midtown.

Kyma is located in Buckhead but is a great Greek restaurant.

Thanks guys! The doorman at my hotel strongly recommended South City Kitchen, which is only a couple of blocks away. Just finished my appetizer, Fried Green Tomatoes, and also wolfed down the delicious cornbread and biscuit they brought me. Washing the stuff down with Booker's.

Fried chicken and greens also very good. Might come back to this place if the client wants Southern food . . .

I'm probably little too late on this but I had a GREAT brunch at Murphy's in the Virginia Highland neighborhood. Short drive from midtown.
