AED in the palm of your hand

Check me out!

I am considering the purchase of one of these right now. They are not mandated to have in the office yet, but the time is QUICKLY approaching where they will be.

Good to have at work, in the car trunk, on the boat, etc.

Has anyone done any research on specific brands, price, features, etc?

I recently bought 25 Zoll AED's for $1600 ea.
They cue off verbal and picture so the hadji's don't need English to know what to do. The are waterproof to 18 inches (good for the rainy weather in Asia) and include service every six months for 3 years. 10 CA123 batteries are SUPPOSED to be good for 3 THOUSAND discharges?!?!? I question this stat, but they stand by it.
CON:
Each set of pads cost $35 and have an expration date Generally of 1 year from date of purchase...soooooo...3 sets of pads per machine ($100+ change), 25 machines, thats $8000 in pads / year on standby.

Keep the old pads and use them for occlusive dressings for sucking chests. Aschermans probably cost close to $35.:D

We've got over 300 of them on our aircraft, plus every floor in our offices has a couple. That is just in the American Eagle Fleet.

You going for the EKG display one, or the one without?

which does everyone prefer?

Awesome

NDD,

Question do they come in OD green? Just kidding.

Not bad to have. As small as it is I can carry that in the side pouch on my aid bag. Do they come with extra pads?
