Should you happen upon your spouse looking for her glasses, with glasses on the top of her head; take great care in how you find them!!:D

Hay the 18E is responsable for the battery's not the Bravo

I am on the "does not need to know" list, but I bet the above situation does not qualify one for having been on a "black op."

We did a live fire mission, had thousands of 5.56,7.62, .50 cal, rockets, 106mm, 60-4.2 inch guns, etc etc etc. All sorts of weapons. We went in the dead of winter to a range 100+ miles from our base to conduct this mission, just one team.

I had a jr. Bravo forget the "barrels" for the .50's, not the headspace and timing gauges, the friggin barrels.

I had to explain why we brought back thousands of rounds of ammo, all .50

The Cpt thought my yelling at him was a bit harsh and he saved his little ass (from me).

I'd dedicate this thread to him if I could remember his name, I'm sure he got out after serving four years....

Good Point, the CPT had no business protecting the JR that is NCO Business. I had a range week that the Bravo forgot the Head space and timing Gage and the T&E for the tripods. Really hard to do some of the drills without T&E's..... HSTG was easily fixed the Old fashion way....... But you have me beat with the Barrels...........;)

HSTG

When I was on my second RVN tour, we had three .50 calibers brought out to the field with plenty of ammmo. You guessed it, nobody brougt a HSTG for any of the guns. A young 2LT said that he had learned at OCS that you could use two dimes and a nickle as a Field Expediant HS guage.

I reache into mmy pocket and brought out some MPCs in the right denominations and challenged the 2LT to try his expediant. There was dead silence.

It took me about 5 seconds to get that. LOL
