PRC-126
To All,
I need to power a PRC126 without a BA5588 battery ? I used the search function and did not find any results. Goggled it and found many resourses but no luck. One website mentions a 10 AA battery adapter but it looks kind of fugazy. Any thoughts or insights into this matter will be appreciated. BILL |
The PRC 68 uses the same battery.
This looks like what you are looking for. http://www.prc68.com/I/68BA.shtml Check out this link: http://www.prc68.com/I/SRDC.shtml Also look at this for general info: http://www.prc68.com/I/PRC68FAM.shtml |
I used the AA adapter in the past. Battery life is quite short. I would carry a lot of spares.
If using the KYV-2A then it becomes a bit more dismal. May be able to take that adapter and apply a better source provided it meets Voltage and Amp requirements. .02 |

re: PRC-126
Greetings
Two possible options: 1) Expedient - http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/?pg...us&sid=1150301 2) Probably Expensive - http://www.micro-power.com/ Ruggedized and Mil-Spec Battery Packs http://www.micro-power.com/default.asp?id=686 I don't know the PRC126. I last carried the AN/PRC-77 in Alaska. (with backup for everything except the radio it self) good luck, cc |
