If anyone is stuck in Oklahoma for some reason, check out the 45th ID museum. Bill Mauldin was a member and they have a lot of his original cartoons on display there.

Up Front

I've been meaning to buy a copy of "Up Front" for about fifteen years. Two weeks ago I saw it in hardcover at the store and picked it up immediately. I feel like a big hole in my library has been filled. I think my favorite part of the book is where he is talking about what a civilian back home should do if they want to know what it is like to be in the infantry.

Bill Mauldin: Probably one of the best cartoonists that ever lived. His work is Timeless.
