Funny Story...

I was in Plano, Texas for work at the Corporate office of Perot systems looking at their special ops memorial wall. As I look thru some memorabilia, I get approached by an old man. He says, you ever hear the story of the Son Tay raid. I say that I have as I turn around, to my surprise its Ross Perot. We began talking and he went on to tell me all sorts of personal stories about Dick Meadow and Col. Simons. Including a few stories of drinking escapades that involved various SF legends and John Wayne. We ended up going in the cafeteria and eating some ice cream while he told lots of good stories. It was really cool of him to share those stories with me. Its not every day a common joe gets to eat lunch with a billionaire who has true love and respect for the warriors out in the field.

Perot has always respected Special Forces. His daughter married an SF captain....

You should see his corporate office. He has a few hallways dedicated to SOF warriors. He even has a dedicated SF hallway that is around 100yds long, completely full of memorabilia. Most of it is dedicated to Col. Simons, Col. Nick Rowe, Col. Beckwith, and Dick Meadows. Mr. Perot is truly a good guy and it was an honor to listen to his stories.
