Smith and Wesson M&P 45
Just as quick note. We had S&W here at FLETC and I got to put a lot of rounds thru a lot their newer weapons systems. I lost all faith in S&W after they sold out to the Brits years ago, but they are back. The M&P 45 functioned much smother than their 1911 Thunder Ranch Special. And I am a 1911 guy, never lked the "plastic" guns. They have incorperated a stainless steel internal rail and the trigger set up was awsom. Their version of the M-4 was pretty sweet also.
I will be transfering over to Fire Arms Division in Jan so I will attempt to post stuff as I get it. The vendors spend much more time here than I very got to see at Bragg. |
My carry weapon is an M&P 9mm, and I absolutely love it.

My preferred carry pistols are the M&P9c, or the Sig P226. I absolutely love the trigger on the M&P and am very comfortable with the way it carries, its accuracy, and reloading/malfunction drills.
S&W has definitely put out a quality product with the M&P lineup of pistols - can't say anything for the rifles though, they could just be "another EBR". I also have a S&W 617 revolver, which has one of the nicest single action triggers I've ever had the pleasure of shooting. To top this all off, every person with whom I have spoken about S&W's Customer Service has had great things to say. Can't beat a good gun, from a good company which backs its customers fully. |
