I found this pack on ebay. supposedly it was the first issue SF ruck. Don't know how true but if some one might want it.

I don't think he is claiming that it is the first SF ruck, he claims that it's the first ruck he bought 25 years ago.

The frame looks like the VN "Jungle Ruck" but it's hard to tell by the pictures.

Interesting item.

IIRC the first SF ruck was the WWII Alpine ruck that was used in the 50's & early 60's. I have one and a spare like new frame.
