A little weapon and accoutrement ID thread, maybe? To start, a fairly easy weapon, but lots of add-on doohickies.

A souped up AK (AKA Galil). I remember working with them in Colombia in the 80's. Wasn't nearly as impressed with it as all the "soldier of fiction" gun rag writers were. Ranked right down there with the Steyr AUGs in Ecuador and the G-3's in El Sal. He does have all the "in vogue" toys on it though. Next? :munchin Peregrino

AL, your latest avatar was half a matching set that hung in my room as a kid. I'll send you the therapy bill for any skeletons in the closet that dredges up. ;)

Galil SAR in 5.56.

Sorry for the delay.

Any bonus round on the accoutrements?

Also, note the mag in the first pic. Not a standard Galil mag. Looks like a South African R-4/5/6 mag.

Aimpoint, Aimpoint 3x mag, Surefire 6p in some sort of offset mount(doesn't look like the Vtac one, probably Command Arms/Fobus), Railed handguard, Vert grip of some kind. What else?

Good times,
Blake

Yarygin PYa / MP-443 "Grach"

PS. The above Galil also sports a B&T Universal Rifle Suppressor.

A Russian made semi-automatic pistol in 9x19 Para. Designed by Vladimir Yarygin and manufactured by Izhmekh ( Baikal ) The civilian version is known as the MP-446 Viking, some of those are on the market here.
