Gourmet popcorn

One of the manufacturing companies that my employer distributes for sent our office a box of various types of gourmet popcorn yesterday. I'm normally a butter and salt kind of gal...but some of the flavors were pretty tasty. Could make a fun gift for either yourself or a popcorn lover in your life...

The site is www.daleandthomas.com The mfg company sent over the large sampler, I think there were 12 different bags.

They actually have some flavors that look great as well as some that I have not seen before.

I have to say the peanut butter one was awesome! And the chocolate caramel was good too. The blueberry...meh it tasted like grape jelly. Oh and the Chipotle...yum!

This dredged up another memory Gypsy. I know.

Years ago, um..... well a couple decades I suppose, I used to use the white cheddar cheese popcorn, when I made scrambled eggs. Just did the regular thing, whipping up a dozen eggs with some milk added in a bowl, stirred in the popcorn and cooked it. There are some flavors on that site, that look like they would be fantastic for that. ;)

Popcorn in your eggs? That's...different. :D What gave you the idea to do that?

Brad-
Popcorn in scrambled eggs? No dissing, just a question, haven't tried them. But, you could get 'crunchy' scrambled eggs in C's. When I cook breakfast, I generally do omelettes - and not those flat little messhall ones - I think I could probably find my omelette pan somewhere, although it's not necessary - 2" thick, swiss, ham, green onions, nice and brown on the outside, with homefries and a good pot of coffee.

Now the chipotle, or jalapeno popcorn would be great with a nice cool Grolsch, or Tecate, or Negra Modelo. wow! A double outside thread reference, with a half twist, while staying mostly on topic - degree of difficulty.........3.0

Too late, I've infiltrated.

:D

I'll spook you more, take your omelette but substitute sausage for the ham and you have a Gypsy breakfast.

My mind is like Germany when doing field exercises - even on infil, every bent blade of grass or broken stalk of wheat or bootprint will cost you. And, it's a cold and dark place, and rains a lot inside my cranium.

How long do you think your infil will last - I have to start making up the bill now.

Everything has its price; and the cold, dark and rain just makes one appreciate the warmth and sun all the more.

A bill? LOL! Now if I told you that, you'd have advanced knowledge...must remain fluid, no? :D

[resounding slap across back of head from Ms G] Ok, just watch out for the rottweilers, they tend to roam a little.

Just send some jalapeno pocorn after you're done stomping around in my brain. [hijack over, back to topic, pretty neat, huh?]

Gypsy 08-11-2006 10:15

Roger. Just a little tap. :lifter

The jalapeno was good, the chipotle was better!

I received a gift basket from one of our vendors last year that had some "Marion Berry" Kettle Corn in it. That was some good popcorn.

I love popcorn, I have fond memories of growing up and my grandpa making a batch of popcorn on the stove, and sitting down to watch the Dolphins play.

LOL Gypsy. I'm not sure. I think one Sunday morning, some 16 years ago, I wanted scrambled eggs and there was a bag of the white chedder popcorn sitting there. Soooo a bunch got dumped into the eggs. It was really good. I kept making them that way for years. I don't cook much, but if I do, it's best to keep the spice cabinet is closed. I don't know what alot of that stuff is, but I'll use 'em. :D

x_........ I have had the opportunity to have the crunchy parts of the C Rat's scrambled eggs. Not nearrrrrrrrrr as good as the white cheddar popcorn. ;) However. Your omelets sound great and like Gypsy's input for them. But, keep the ham and add the sausage. Replace the home fries with 'Grandma's Fries' ( I mentioned those on this forum sometime back) and some Baileys Irish Cream for the coffee. Oh Yeah! Don't forget to add some sort of flavored popcorn to those omelets..........

Pssst..... x_
Try as you might. Gypsy did infiltrate your head.

I think you should get an A for creativity, not sure I'd have ever thought to put white cheddar popcorn in my eggs. Maybe if I was hung over... :D Perhaps some day I'll be daring enough to try it.

It's a gift... :D
