After using a Triumph T100C Tiger in the 1966 film, ‘The Swinger’, Ann-Margret liked the bike so much that she used the same model in her stage show and TV specials. One of her Las Vegas shows featured 12 different Triumph models and she also featured in the company’s official adverts during the 1960s.

Despite suffering three broken ribs and a fractured shoulder in a motorcycle accident on the way to a National Hot Rod Association event in 2000, she still officiated as Grand Marshal the following day and, at the age of 78, still loves her bikes.

She also featured in one of the most iconic photos of the 1960s. In a riding shot by Douglas Kirkland in the desert outside Las Vegas, Ann-Margret wears a sequined corset and knee-length boots, but the Triumph chopper she’s riding was actually her own bike, given to her as a Christmas present by her husband, Roger
