America vows to 'take action' if Myanmar military coup is not reversed after soldiers arrest Aung San Suu Ky, the president and MPs in dawn raids

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-reversed.html

"America has vowed to 'take action' if Myanmar military coup is not reversed after soldiers arrested de facto leader Aung San Suu Ky, the president and members of parliament in dawn raids on Monday.

US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken condemned the reports in a statement released overnight, and called for the military to 'reverse these actions immediately'.

The generals struck amid fears that Suu Kyi would use her new mandate - which saw her humiliate military-backed parties at a vote held last year - to reform the constitution and remove their strangle-hold on power...."

Well, this is interesting. First test for the new administration.

"America" has vowed to take action...

Who is this "America" of whom this political-appointee-not-elected-by-the-people speaks of?

The White Walker will no doubt take “action”...

1. Form a committee to evaluate the historical significance of the political climate in Myanmar

2. Determine the racial and social injustices that may or may not be being perpetrated by said Govt.

3. Ensure the political narrative suits the masses outside of the country so as to make the US not look like they are meddling.

4. Mandate Dominion voting machines be utilized from this day forward.

I happened to have been in Northern Myanmar during their last coup in 2004 -
Our “Office of the President” has no business meddling where we maintain a $10K fine for ANY item attempted to be imported or brought through customs.

It’s gonna be a LONG few years...

Does * Biden even know where Myanmar is? Or would he just remember "Burma Shave"?

"Draw a line in the sand" says Obummer into Biden's earwig.

Why Myanmar’s military seized power in a coup

Why Myanmar’s military seized power in a coup

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/...in-aung-hlaing

Some interesting background reading

"....Just days before the polls, Myanmar’s powerful military chief Min Aung Hlaing had raised the possibility the army may not accept the outcome of the election. Accusing Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi’s government of “unacceptable mistakes”, he told a local news outlet that “we are in a situation where we need to be cautious” about the results of the poll.

Aung San Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy (NLD) went on to secure a landslide victory, taking more than 80 percent of the vote and increasing its support from the 2015 vote. But the result drew immediate allegations of fraud and calls for a rerun from the military-backed Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP). The Tatmadaw, as the military is known, supported the USDP’s assertions, claiming without proof that its own investigation had found 10.5 million suspect votes....."

What would the democrats do if the conscientious objector reappeared as soldiers.

Did they use "Dominion" voting machines too?

It was amusing yesterday as I endured the pain of watching a Psaki stutterfest. She was asked specifically if the president knew where it was and, importantly, is the admin going to refer to it as Myanmar, or Burma (as Psaki did), or both, or...

She assured the guy the president knows where it is because he gets briefed. She advised that there are differing usages of the country's name depending on who the audience is, or what office is using it. She used State (pretty unimportant in foreign diplomacy, right?) as an example of an office that might use one, the other, or both. So she didn't answer the guy's question, but did offer that using both is probably the result of the person having a very large bowl of Wheat Chex® topped with Frosted Mini-Wheats® and whole milk.

She is a disaster. One gaze from McEnany & she'd be a smokin' lump of coal on the floor.

FTR, I also think a solution is not sending Dominion voting machines. This sounds very much like the problem is that they were already used there.
