Personal Trainer’s and Physical Therapist for SF, is this for real?

Men’s Health posted an online article from MSG Geoff Dardia (appears to be an instructor somewhere) that claims SF now has personal trainers and physical therapist to help them train, workout and prepare for missions.

Gee, when I was in we just had a Team Sergeant and then I was one…?

My how times have changed.

I could have used both a physical therapist and mental therapist from time to time. :lifter

THOR-3 is what kept me in the Army after I broke my back
- the second time.

Without them, I would have been med boarded and tossed out with the rest of the garbage - instead - I spent eight more years on active duty - eight more years of making people miserable with my substandard leadership and self-serving methodology.

This kind of stuff?

Side of your house I wasn't really aware of. Neat.

Yes - but I am a former 3rd Grouper. 3rd Groupers are way more better than 1st Groupers.
...way more better

I was at SOCOM on my final tour and had a bad jump and benefitted greatly from the physical therapy program (SOCCENT). I was nobody special, just a staff nug, but they helped me out greatly with dry needling and some other phys therapy. Can't say enough good about whatever program enabled that. Much better than then the, "here's a bottle of motrin" program.

Emphasis is "has them," like multiple other resources in and around the SOF community, they're not always used. But as others have already mentioned...when THOR III steps in after a major injury...the results are far better than just going it alone. They've helped countless Soldiers stay on AD.

Is the Army aware of this...?? And they DIDN'T make you a 20-Star General..????

Dam - missed opportunity.

Jim

I think because he is self serving he might have said "NO" to something in his past, That would make him ineligible for General Officer.

With humility and self awareness I openly submit to the fact that I do not have what it takes to be a G.O.
