Pretty sure that is not a "sheepdog" but a Great Pyrenees herding dog. Big difference.
The Pyrenees run about 150+ lb and were bred to protect herds from European wolves and bears. Not to be confused with the Australian Shepherd, Blue Heeler, or other herding breeds, which generally run about 40-50+lb. |
I reckon those coyotes can just fuck right off...
Anyway, it looks like the shepherd will get to shear and eat his sheep after all. |
"Who's a very good boy !!!"
:lifter |
So is it customary for the surviving coyotes to carry away their dead after such an epic battle?
|
I’ve come across those dogs in the back country while driving to remote boat ramps. Never allow anyone to exit the vehicle with those dogs around. They only respect the lives of the sheep and maybe the shepherd. Anything else “Ralph” sees is “Sam” and will act accordingly.

A bunch of us were discussing this on another "outdoor site" and the consensus is the owner is a lib, metro-GILBERT who hiked his skirts up and fled back into his organically, socially-sourced affordable housing unit leaving the dog to handle business. (the site is very near Atlanta)
Says he tossed a rock at the coyotes and ran back inside. Who does that shit? He shoulda been out there handling business with Snoopy. Assclown doesn't deserve a Dog this brave. |

But, as you mentioned... He might not have any weapons - except the dog. |
