I will try to make it on Friday or after I get off work on Sunday. I have to be on shift with the Fire Dept on Saturday @ 0700 till Sunday 0700.

The big question, of course, is whether there will be an HAK booth and, if so, who is bringing the camera. :munchin

in case anybody is wondering, per Ms. Mary Lutz instruction:
"As long as the video taken is not used commercially, there should be no problem with you shooting. Please ask the knife makers, or anyone in your video for permission." Frontsight ma'am... Quote:

PM me for my local contact information. I think Bill still has my cell phone number from last BLADE. What time will yall be making infil to the location on Friday? I can meet y'all at the FOB.

I took a few photos!
You might want to purchase the next issue of Blade mag, I'm betting you might "see" this knife featured...... And yes, I own it! |
Nice bit of cutlery you have there Team Sergeant. I saw that the Chris Reeve team also won another manufacturing quality award.
|
TS,
does Doc T know you bought that....she's gonna cut you from ear to ear when she finds out that not all knives cost $39.95!!!!!!!!! |

It's a nice little Fathers Day gift! Thanks Doc T!!!!!!!! TS |
you do know you always have the extra bedroom at our house if things go the other way (if she's after your ears with the blade....)!!!

IIRC, the one you bought is better than the version that won? Didn't take much pics: only a pair of knives, and several folks and some lady with FS genes throwing knives. Also I'd like to bring forth the irrefutable testimony of Mr. Harsey's T-2 folder by Swatsurgeon: the edge is no different than a scalpel...I "tried" it :( If you can afford it, this is the real deal. http://professionalsoldiers.com/foru...0295#post60295 Hope you guys ('n gals) are never tired of these (Mr. Harsey, I will remove the pic if it's not gtg) |

Mine was the one in the Chris Reeve showcase at the show. TS |
Team Sergeant,
First, Thanks to you and Ambush Master for traveling to meet us at the show. Your professionalism is appreciated and the company was great. TS, The knife you have is the one that the judges at the show could actually handle at the CRK booth to make their choice from. This knife is the famous Sebenza pattern by Chris Reeve himself and is a unique design that is recognized around the world as the STATE OF THE ART for a custom production knife. Maybe that's why they keep getting that other award too. You have a great knife. |
It was an honor and a pleasure to get to hang out with Team Sargeant, Ambush Master and Mr. Harsey
Hope we can all get together again soon |
Hey Mr. Kit Carson!
I sure enjoyed spending some time with you at Blade, hope you got home safe. Bill |

Oh yeah, Kit,
Could you post some pics here (in the knife forum) of your work? I think the guys and gals here might like to see what your doing. |

NOT !!! I don't think so !!!! :fswhip: There was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much consternation for me as a result of this pow-wow. :p FrontSight |
Just in case anyone is interested.......The new Strider FNG which was unveiled at BLADE is available for pre-order at TAD GEAR. Of course I waited to post this till I received confirmation of my order :D

Reservations for the FNG are full as of 14 June 2005 :p . Bidding for my reservation can now begin :D
|
Wow! Listed price $675 + for this knife? I think I'll stick with my Emerson Super CQC7-BTS. I could buy a nice new pistol for that price. :lifter

I would still rather have a Harsey blade...can't beat it...
Let's compare: both steel both cut both from great designers both get the job done do both have the lifetime workmanship ,etc guarantee?? The Harsey does., I'm sure Mick does too. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and if your flavor is the FNG, pony up, if its a Harsey, go for it. For my money and and desires, its the Tactical Folder and T-2. just my 2 cents. Now don't get me started on scalpels!! |

Of course, I didn't handle the knife in question; however, the pictures of it just didn't jump out at me as a weapon that I would like to carry in harms way. The Emerson Super CQC7 did and does. I do like the "Wave Action." I'm sure others might perceive this FNG knife as what they would want for their needs. Actually, if I thought that I was going to have to fight with or use a knife as a weapon I would rather pick a fixed blade, as perhaps I would choose a 12 Ga shotgun, carbine and or rifle over a pistol, for many of the same reasons. Alas, we must compromise and carry a pistol or folder inorder to conceal them, etc. Another thing is, that if I spent that much money on a folder, I would tend to make it a safe queen. to prevent its loss or damage in the field. :munchin |
