So I made another purchase at Amazon.com and a screen pops up and asks me what charity I like? It says it will now donate a small fraction of any of my Amazon purchases to my charity of choice. That was very cool. I selected the GBF and Amazon said they would contact the GBF to start receiving the donations.

I was not aware of this program and spend a metric shit ton (I mean a few dollars here and there if my wife reads this) on Amazon. I will pick a good charity (not WWF).

Very cool! Thanks.

Ha I'm the same in regards to the wife.

Thank you for the heads up I'll certainly be sending some funds the GBF way.

Crap...the wife just bought a bunch of stuff through Amazon last week. I'll check the settings today. Thanks.

DinDinA-2 08-20-2014 08:10

Snaquebite 08-20-2014 08:38

New link....Just got this from the GBF. Also Jack Tobin is going to send the info to all chapters and put this in the next Drop.

Done. Amazon's one of the few places I do online biz because of their basic rock-solid model. Thanks for the lead Team Sergeant. I love GBF's website FAQ's; tough question alot of "non-profits" wouldn't be happy to answer.

There in lies the difference between men and women .....

Women "go shopping," while men "buy shit." :D

....at least one of the MANY differences I should add.

They also have figured out "wife math." That's where they can tell you how much they saved...versus how much they spent.

MtnGoat 08-21-2014 11:48

Thanks.. I sent this out too.

GreenSalsa 08-21-2014 12:32

Done!

Just a note...

You have to not only go to https://smile.amazon.com to sign up, you also have to go there for your purchases.

On the plus side, I tried looking at products on both sites and the price doesn't seem to change. (remember the big news story where buying under a prime membership was often more expensive than buying the same thing non-prime and paying the shipping)

Vive la difference! But...I just "buy shit". I can't stand "going shopping". If I need something I either buy it online or go into a store for it. No detours.
