Bus Full of Illegal Immigrants Met by Furious Protesters in California
Someone go check and see if Hell has frozen over.........
Bus Full of Illegal Immigrants Met by Furious Protesters in California HOUSTON ,Texas--140 illegal immigrants were transported via plane to San Diego and then bussed to a federal housing facility in Murrieta, California. But things didn't go exactly as planned--a large crowd of angry U.S. citizens protested the migrants' arrival, which prompted agents to instead transport the illegal immigrants to a different facility. The immigrants arrived in Murrieta around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, according to KESQ. A large group of angry citizens were there waiting for the buses, many waving the American flag--some held signs, one of which allegedly said, "Return to Sender." The protesters physically blocked the buses from entering the housing facility. Eventually, the migrant-filled vehicles turned around and headed back to San Diego, according to reports. KESQ reported that Murrieta Mayor Alan Long expressed concern and irritation over the shipment of immigrants to his county on Monday. He said, "This is a failure to enforce federal law at the federal level. Murrieta continues to object to the transfer of illegal immigrants to the local Border Patrol office." On June 4th Breitbart Texas broke the news that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was relocating illegal immigrants from Texas to Southern California. Within moments of that story being published, the official Twitter account of the San Diego CBP tweeted at Breitbart Texas Managing Director Bradon Darby insisting the report was “erroneous” and asking for it to be removed from the internet. Days later--after National Border Patrol Council Vice President Shawn Moran came to Darby's defense--the San Diego CBP deleted the tweet from their official account. Subsequent reports, outlining plans to fly immigrants to Southern California, proved CBP had indeed planned the relocation. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said in a statement on Monday, "U.S. Customs and Border Protection's El Centro and San Diego sectors are about to begin assisting with the processing of migrants apprehended in South Texas, many of whom are adults with children." The federal agency went on to say that the illegal immigrants "may be released with instructions to report to a local ICE office near their destination address within 15 days." Victor Manjarrez--a professor at the University of Texas El Paso, former Chief Patrol Agent of Tucson Sector, and former Chief Patrol Agent in El Paso Sector--told Breitbart Texas, "Once [the immigrants] get processed, because there are not enough holding facilities, they're scheduled for a hearing sometime in the future. They promise to show up then get released. They then [often] call up relatives in Central America and tell them they got released." He said that ultimately, a lot of the migrants never go to court--many end up being forgotten about by authorities or get "lost in the woodwork." At this point, it is unclear how the border crisis will be handled--especially as U.S. citizens are fearful of the migrants' impact on their local communities. Breitbart Texas reported earlier in the week that the illegal crossers have already taken a toll on Hidalgo County, Texas. In just two weeks, since June 13, the county's taxpayers spent $68,000 on the illegal immigrants. Expenses subsidized by the county include hot showers and transportation. I guess Cloward-Piven with the citizens of this country was taking too long.
How many global economic refugees can America support? Back to work, citizens. TR |
Stockpile their ass somewhere, let me think "Death Valley". I cost us to try and put them back across the border, more if they sneak in and stay.
Thought someday I could retire, hell they will get all my retirement benefit. |
Temecula and Murrieta are actually one of the more conservative areas of California. Good for them. I guess the immigrants were being taken to the Border Patrol facility there to be processed and then released. There is also a large detention center for illegals out by the federal penitentiary near Victorville.

Medical staff warned: Keep your mouths shut about illegal immigrants or face arrest.

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses
"A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses"
I'd sure like to meet some of those "government-contracted security forces" face to face...... Let me know when the shooting starts and I do hope they are all in the same uniform, easier to spot that way.:munchin This is your socialist government at it's finest. You do not have freedom of speech, if we say so...... |
...the sad part is, most of those "government-contracted security forces" are "US"
Team guys that get out and go to work as security contractors. All of the SEALs, Marines, Rangers, and SF guys that left the military because "SOF" aint like it used to be Well, everybody has bills to pay, and companies like Academi, CACI, Titan, Aegis et-al, are all hiring. So, do you remember that loud mouthed SSG you had that thought "this VSO shit is gay - I just want to shoot mother fuckers in the face." The one that you would have fired if he hadn't ETS'ed? ...well he works for a PMC now. Or maybe I am wrong. |

You did make a point. The UCMJ is clear military personnel are to obey a “lawful command of his superior officer,” 891.ART.91, the “lawful order of a warrant officer”, 892.ART.92 the “lawful general order”, 892.ART.92 “lawful order”. In each case, military personnel have an obligation and a duty to only obey Lawful orders and indeed have an obligation to disobey Unlawful orders, including orders by the president that do not comply with the UCMJ. The moral and legal obligation is to the U.S. Constitution and not to those who would issue unlawful orders, especially if those orders are in direct violation of the Constitution and the UCMJ. Is the definition of Treason being disloyal or betraying your country? No doubt those security forces are being told to give an unlawful order. For that they could be prosecuted. |
Security Contractors are not Military
Depending who these Civilian Security personnel work for, meaning the "Client" could be the owner of a facility or a Government Agency, will determine the authority.
If the Feds lease space on a facility, the Security personnel are generally bound by the respective State laws concerning Security Employees, dictated by the licensing process. One twist is when very strict regulations are in play, such as a nuclear power plant. There, State and local laws are in effect, but the authority to use deadly force lays with the Federal regs (NRC and DOE, as examples). Something more twisted is the number of former military bases or facilities, that have been sold or passed onto State or Local government ownership. Many of these have quasi-civilian management organizations or Corporations that manage the facility. In many of the agreements, there is a clause where the Feds can regain control or authority over the use, in the event of a natural disaster or Federal Emergency. It has become a very terse subject, as civilian security companies are hired to provide services at Federal or National Guard facilties. Depending on the unique Agreement/ Contract of each facility, the Feds can not generally extend Military status or UCMJ to the Civilian security forces. Don't let that fool anyone, as the Feds have enough regulations to cover the bases. I know PMCs are mentioned, but there are also the tens of thousands of Police Retirees, each with their very own Federally created ability to carry fire arms. I am more worried about the Retired LEO that votes Dem to protect his/ her pension than the former Military type that has a clearer understanding of the Constitution. |

...do any of the PMCs make their empoyees swear an oath? Staff Sergeant John Smith may be bound by an oath but "Bob" the Security Contractor dont give two shits about oaths if he has a good lawyer on retainer. |
It is more than just the Oath. This is more a fundamental responsibility or duty as an American. I don't think because soldiers leave active duty that the Oath expires.

PC...
I agree with your thoughts. The problem is, there is a giant chasm between the ethics of a servicemember and the ethcis of a PMC for profit. I've worked with enough and witnessed enough of them in action to form an unchangeable opinion of PMC ethics. |
On a related note with a touch of irony.

Reading Gen. Kelly's remarks makes the situation South of the border appear quite dire.... Then on the other hand you have David Petraeus embracing what he calls the 'North American decade'. Quote:

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner...rles-c-w-cooke The syllabus for a similarly themed class Petraeus teaches at the City University of New York entitled “The Coming (North) American Decade(s)” includes the following course description: “This seminar will seek to answer the question, ‘Are we on the threshold of the new (North) American decade(s)?’ To do so, we will: survey the global economic situation; examine the ongoing energy, manufacturing, life sciences, and information technology ‘revolutions’ in the United Sates; assess the implications each revolution has for the U.S. and the global economy; and determine the policies, practices, regulations, and laws needed to enable the U.S. to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the revolutions and thereby to contribute to the global economic recovery from the Great Recession.” An examination of the assigned reading specified in the course syllabus shows Petraeus has derived much of his thinking from global economic sources in trying to project the future of North America in competition with major regional forces including China, the EU, as well as Russia, India and Brazil. http://america.aljazeera.com/article...esyllabus.html |
