"(Reuters) - Gunmen stormed a shopping mall in Nairobi on Saturday killing at least 15 people in what Kenya's government said might be a terrorist attack, and sending scores fleeing into shops, a cinema and onto the streets in search of safety...."

The story has a slide show that shows mostly the police is action.

When I first glanced at them it was hard to tell they were the police.

"NAIROBI — Kenyan troops backed by Israeli forces battled Sunday to end a siege in an upmarket shopping mall and free hostages held by Somali militants in an attack that has so far killed 59 people.

Sporadic gunfire could be heard as Kenyan security officials said they were attempting to kill or capture the remaining attackers and end the 26-hour-long bloodbath at the Westgate mall.

"The Israelis have just entered and they are rescuing the hostages and the injured," a Kenyan security source told AFP. The Israeli foreign ministry refused to confirm or deny its forces were involved......."

If this is valid information, and US citizens of Somali extract are known to go 'home' and carry out Jihad, then what is the reaction of the community in the US?
An outpouring of dissent against Jihad focused on non combatants? A serious effort to instruct the Muslim US Somali youth?
No, the mothers/fathers of the slain jihadi's will quietly take comfort in the fact that their dead sons are now Shaheed's....Holy Warriors promised heaven.
Local Imam's will offer comments at Friday prayer where the dead will be cast in a positive light thru reading verses that support becoming a Shaheed.
There will be no effort to either curb this type of expat activity or privately admonish it.
The 'moderate' Muslims will go about their business neither supporting nor decrying these acts.
Moderate Muslims are the petri dish that Jihadi's live within to rest, hide, and prosper in non Muslim countries.

In February 2010, a Virginia man named Anthony Joseph Tracy was arrested because of his close links to Al-Shabaab. By then, he had smuggled over 270 Somalis into the country through Mexico. The identities and locations of very few were known.

The Mexican government has also confirmed that al-Shabaab is taking advantage of the border. Its police have arrested and released members of al-Shabaab on their way to the U.S. before.

Another Somali jihadist group doing this same thing is Al-Ittihad Al-Islami. A Somali in San Antonio, Texas was arrested in March 2008 on immigration charges. From June 2006 to March 2008, he earned at least $3,000 for every single person he snuck across the border, making up to $75,000 in a single day.

He confirmed that he knew exactly what he was doing when he brought Al-Ittihad Al-Islami members into the U.S. His sentencing memo said “he believed they would fight against the U.S. if the jihad moved from overseas locations to the U.S. mainland.”

She is the wife of Germaine Lindsay, a man who blew himself up on July 7, 2005, at London's King’s Cross subway station killing 26 people. At the time, Lewthwaite, denied having any prior knowledge of the attack. Shortly thereafter, she became a fugitive.

Lewthwaite, the 29-year-old daughter of a soldier, hails from Banbridge, County Down, Ireland. She converted to Islam as a teenager, and according to British rmedia reports, has three children with whom she has been on the run.

In December of 2011, Kenyan police raided a two-room apartment in Mombasa, Kenya. They found chemicals similar to those used in the July 7, 2005 bombing in London. Lewthwaite was identified as the person who rented the apartment but she wasn't captured.

However, Jermaine Grant, who is British, was captured at the Mombasa apartment. He faces charges of conspiring to explode devices to hurt civilians, according to Kenyan police. Grant told police that he was working for Lewthwaite. She faces the same charges as Grant and another man later arrested trying to flee the country.

In March, the London Daily Telegraph reported that Lewthwaite and Fouad Manswab were plotting to free Grant, who's trial was set to begin Sept. 23 (today) in Mombasa. "We know that Fouad is in touch with Samantha Lewthwaite, and they were planning to rescue their accomplice," said Jacob Ondari, the deputy public prosecutor, at the time.

We in South Africa have for a long time had a significant indigenous Muslim population. They are mainly traders and business people and have historically been very peaceful except in the Cape where they are big into drugs and gangsterism.
In the last three years, three huge mosques have been built in Johannesburg using foreign money. We have so far not had any terrorist incidents but the Muslim invasion is coming south with many Somali's and Ethiopian Muslims being added to our Indian and Dutch East Indian Muslims. In some ways, the thought of Sharia Law is attractive in our out-of-control crime situation, but it will never catch on with our natives.

The Planet Hollywood bombing and the bombing of a synagogue would be considered terror incidents, these were 20 years ago, but still happened.

Planet Hollywood seemed to be a commercial incident. I don't remember a synagogue being hit? We did of course have many terrorist incidents perpetrated by Nelson Mandela's ANC and MK before they took power, but I was writing of Muslim terrorism.
