Yep, that's real.
I'd like to know how a Gerber prototype made by me is up for sale under any conditions.

There is a very thin possibility this is a legal sale... thin.

swatsurgeon 03-15-2013 04:56

Stolen? Being sold by someone in Michigan for $600.

DJ Urbanovsky 03-15-2013 10:34

That knife is about 1000% cooler than the production knives.

Roguish Lawyer 03-15-2013 10:47

The guy looks like he sells a lot of rare knives, might be a legit dealer who got the item from someone who stole it . . .

DJ Urbanovsky 03-15-2013 11:15

There's a lot of weirdness in the knife industry.

If that knife were mine, it'd be in my friggin' pocket.

Roguish Lawyer 03-15-2013 13:59

I am told by reliable sources that this blade soon will be in a safe place.

No, and who said I was buying it?

swatsurgeon 03-15-2013 17:55

Wait a sharp blade minute...... I found it so whoever buys it owes me some knife pocket time:lifter

Whoever bought it might think a prototype doesn't belong in anyone's pocket

swatsurgeon 03-15-2013 19:23

Not that knife, the one they would give me as a finders fee....like a "kiger" or something similar ????????????:D

I think if everything is on the up and up with the sale of the knife, the only person who is really entitled to an opinion as to whether or not it's alright for that knife to be out in the wild is Bill. Since he's the one that made it.

If he were alright with the knife being out there, and I owned it, there's absolutely no question it would be in the rotation. Part of the joy of owning exceptional tools is in the use of them.

swatsurgeon 03-16-2013 15:26

DJ,
You are absolutely right, a knife like that deserves to be seen, used and enjoyed for its intended use.....IMHO

Agreed. That's the main thing.
