Transgenders not welcome
This no doubt will be the next challenge to face the powers to be that control our nations military. I guess he/she should have read the fine print before crossing over to the other side. Having allowed openly homosexual individuals to stay in the military I can't see how they could possibly deny a transgender person their right to serve. The govt. has opened up a huge can of worms here.

Moral relativity is a slippery hole. Getting harder to climb out of after every Dem POTUS.

Do NOT look at the article. Dude or chick, it's not pleasant. He/she should go to serve in the Salvation Army.
Is the Salvation Army still in existence? They were often visible at Christmas time, but I've not seen them for many years. |
But Ugly on eithor side.

Libs embrace perversion, and don't consider a sexual deviant to be immoral, so their morals wouldn't decline any farther than they already have. People who still understand the difference between right and wrong consider acceptance of this type of bullshit to be immoral because it naturally goes against that understanding. It's hard for libs to understand, as they lack a conscience in many areas. |
My Libertarian side
My libertarian side says whether you are a male trapped in a female body or a female trapped in a male's body you enlisted in the body you were wearing at the time of enlistment.
As long as you comply with the military requirements for that body while you are on duty I don't really care if some guy puts on high heels and panty hose after work. It is interesting how sports treat the issue. I don't think a male who transgenders to a female is allowed to participate as a female in say weightlifting, running, etc, etc in the Olympics. I don't think a male going to a woman would make much difference in the Military - while a female going to a male would have to comply with male standards like at SFAS. This is just throwing a few more mines out in the PC minefield 1SGs and COs will have to tiptoe through. |
Personally, do what you want. I don't care either way, as long as your moral compass points towards "right" versus "wrong"...........
I could care less. Just please, America.........Media outlets..........Activists.......... Stop cramming it down my throat. |

IMO, your last statement is a cop out, which comes as no surprise. |
Morals, much like opinions, vary largely with the individual—although there are many external factors that would influence an individual’s moral compass. I’m sure that John, or Ashley (whatever) and his/her circle of friends thinks this is a perfectly acceptable behavior. I don’t agree.
Nevertheless, this is America and, if he/she wants to lop off his/her wiener and grow tittys, he/she certainly has the right. Whether he/she—let’s just say "it" (shorter)—needs to rejoin the Army afterwards may be a different story. My opinion: it should seek counseling to help it ascertain its identity. It may have underlying issues, since it can’t seem to identify its own gender in the presence of a number of anatomical hints. (Note to John/Ashley: no matter what you do to yourself--you're still a man--who now has to squat to pee.) |

The vast majority of this country's voters have discovered that they can get the so-called "free lunch". I converse will people ALL over the political spectrum. Almost all have one thing in common: the other person has to give up their "rice bowl" - and leave theirs the hell alone. If one makes the comparison of our nation's woes to a person's blood supply, the cause I mentioned is like diabetes, while the ones previously mentioned are more along the lines of mosquito bites. The latter is annoying, and could possibly do serious damage. The former is debilitating and will evenutally kill you. |

I just feel sorry for them.......being that 'confused' is the ultimate self inflicted mental problem a guy...uh, no, a gal could have.
My wife's Saturn station wagon thinks it is a Ferrari so I'm going to have some body work done and paint it up to sell on transgender car Ebay. Just don't look under the hood. |

Tell me, how do transgenders impact YOUR life? I don't want to here about what they are doing to society, etc.. I want specific cases where they impact YOU. I have a couple. COL Schroer is one, and I found him to be one of the biggest brained people I will ever know. Since working for him, and being mentally challenged by him daily, I think made me a better officer. I started reading books I never would have read had it not been for him. I started thinking in ways I never would have, on strategic issues important to the national security of this country because of him. Say what you will about Dave becoming Dianne after he retired, but I know a lot of people in the military that were positively influenced by him. While at NPS I also had a professor who was transgender. Went throught the whole surgery and used the same restroom as I did. I didn't like her politics, but she was a damn fine professor who broadened my thoughts on our strategic interests in the PACOM AOR. So yes maybe they may have some kind of mental deficiency, or as some of you have stated, a mental illness. That does not mean they do not have value in this world. If we only limit our interactions with people who look like we do, think like we do, have the same religious preferences as we do, then this world becomes a really boring place, IMHO. |
A few years ago, my wife and I were invited to a wedding between a transgender who was on her soccer team and a guy who was a country/western type. I went just to see what would happen plus, the TG was a lawyer so I knew the food would be good and the booze free. Right in the middle of exchanging vows, the groom put on a cowboy hat, picked up a microphone and sang Randy Travis' "I'm Going to Love You Forever and Ever". To this day, I don't know if he knows if she was a he but it was one of the more entertaining weddings I have ever attended.

Individuals make choices in life and that's what they are...individual choices. When society, like let's say Dept.of Def, recognises these individual choices then they underwrite them...norm them. Our mission in DoD is simply to fight and win our Countries war s...not come close, not come second, but to win. Every decision that is made within DoD should start with...."How does this relate to Warfighting?" I suggest to you that social programs, like transgender norming, have no real place within DoD as they would distract more than add to the focus of individuals and units. Maybe some time in a land far far away when we are all unisex...or whatever. Transgenders don't bother me, or prob anyone here, but I don't want the military to have to deal with social issue after social issue that takes away from its warfighting focus. We have enough bullshit in all of the sundry 'Commanders time' required yearly theater instruction without 'transgender relations' being added to the pile. Let's take that hour and maybe spend it on the range, huh. |
