Obama pays unannounced visit to Afghanistan

"KABUL, May 1 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama arrived in Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday for an unannounced visit, Afghan officials said.

During his trip here, the U.S. president is expected to sign a strategic agreement with Afghanistan, unnamed Afghan government officials were quoted as saying by local TV channels. .."

Well at least it's a nice break from all the vacation and campaigning trips he's been taking lately.

I mean, like it's a real Commander in Chief kinda' trip.

I thought he was going over to hand deliver a very large sum of cash.

I forget which of his minions it was but daughter reported being ticked about that during one of their visits, she was out away from the FOB as she likes to be, helpin' the Aussies with somethin' and buds reported when she got back that everyones' weapons got secured. Daughter just mentioned she was asked to go last night. She said she had work early and went to bed. According to her companion that went, every other word to the troops was apparently 'Hooah' from the POTUS. Maybe his tele-prompter got stuck.

I think the term for that would be bagboy.

But didn't he recently say, that he takes "trips" to do "recon" for Michele and her "vacations" ????

Maybe he may want to "silence" her. I'll bet that she found out just WHO the SS were getting those ..... errrr ..... ummmm .... "friends" for, on his LAST trip.

I guess I watched the wrong speech last night. :confused: Here is some commentary:

Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC's "Hardball," raved about a speech President Obama made to American troops during his surprise visit to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

"I imagine being a soldier over there -- this is what you want to hear," Matthews said, as if he was wearing military fatigues.

I pretty much ignore ANYthing that "tingling leg" Matthews says, especially as regards his idol.

Election year foofarah - wait until the spotlights go on in the other two rings of this political circus. It's going to be a long summer.
