Happy thought of the day

Damn I've got a lot of ammo! :)

Feel free to add your own happy thoughts if you are so inclined . . . :munchin

I'm glad I bought most of my guns years ago...before the prices went up!

ZonieDiver 05-15-2009 21:01

My boss tells me I should be glad I still have a job, despite the decline in my salary. :p I am just glad I still remember all the escape routes, safe houses, water caches, and E&E routes "we" set up out of Phoenix in the late 70's and early 80's! (Welcome back, "Carter"!) I just wish I were still on the "Eastside" instead of the "Westside"!

The only time you can have too much ammo is if you are trying to swim.

Keep collecting when you can.

a little here... a little there... trying to find all the components is becoming maddening.. but not impossible.

Of course there is tons of .40 ammo everywhere.. thinking about buying another pistol just so I can get some of the .40 ammo.

I paid attention in a class once.... under report writing 101...

My happy thought... both my bikes and truck are paid for and I'm debt free (other than my mortgage)...

I got this advice the other day: If you are forced to choose between your house payment and your car payment - make your car payment. You can sleep in your car, but you can't drive your house to work! :D

Guy 05-15-2009 22:33

No wearing of "body" armor today...:D

Stay safe.

armymom1228 05-15-2009 22:41

Getting caught driving 94 in a 55 mph zone... and only getting a warning ticket.. It pays to wear a microminiskirt and heels some days I guess.:D

Shar 05-16-2009 00:20

The weather was PERFECT up here in the PNW today. And, I've got good kids and an awesome husband who is gainfully and honorably employed. I have no complaints. (ok, that's not true but this isn't a political thread. :D)

Waking up to the sound of my sons padded feet running down the hallway on his way to watch saturday morning cartoons.

Remember when life was so simple?

There _is_ a reason I wear low cut tops and short skirts in Auto Salvage/Boat salvage yards, when parts scrounging. :D:D A little harmless flirting never hurt anyone and makes someones day a little brighter.:p

  • The Pasadena public library allows patrons to renew books on line.
  • Caffeine.
  • iPod.
  • Did I mention "caffeine"?

Pete 05-16-2009 17:43

Today

Had a great chat with GreenSalsa, great guy, and had plenty of time to run down to the beach to spend the afternoon with the family.

Walked in the door and asked D3, the 9 year old, if she wanted to go on a Secret Mission. She said yes so we took our leave of the others.

Drove over to Holden's Beach and spent the next 2 hours playing in the Ocean, just the two of us.

Came back to the Beach House, changed and went to the Mexican Eat Place in Shallotte.

After Supper she leaned up against me, looked up and said "Daddy, I had a great time today." That's my today's Happy Thought.

And still back in Fayetteville in time to feed the dogs.

The Reaper 05-16-2009 18:17

I live in the United States of America with my family and my Special Forces brothers.

It doesn't get any better than that.

GB,

Heard about "The Fisher House" here on PS, from a QP! After that, I read the history and services they provide...and it is an incredible organization!

That and the wonderful folks at "Soldiers Angels" (again a charity brought to my attention by a QP here on PS,) are who we 'round here have supported over the last couple years!

Indeed, Happy Thoughts all around on these folks!:lifter

Oh and I'm enjoying a little bowl of Kettlecorn while watching the Chicago Blackhawks in the semi-finals of the Stanley Cup. :lifter

Armymom, You must change your call sign if you are going to inform us of micromins, four inch pumps, clevage, and flirtations with junk yard dogs...The idea of Mom in that context just does not apply:eek:

Sdiver 05-17-2009 15:52

Got my Bike out of storage last week. Rode it a few times back and forth to work.......went for an AWESOME 5 hour ride along the front range. Temp in the 80's, lots and lots of Sun and NO wind.

And now enjoying a few frosty cold adult beverages.

I'm happy that the earthquake we just had didn't turn out to be the big one.

ETA--revised seismic data "Light"? Who comes up with these euphemisms?

With daughters like these we can never have enough guns. Maybe if the boys had to clear a minefield and breach the wire to get to the front door and still get by us . . . ;)
