My MSP tucks in very nicely, as does the wifes. It rides a bit higher on the belt and I utilize it easily with an untucked pullover shirt.
Additionally, instead of haveing a "clamp" on my trousers...there is a leather "lip" that produces a small shelf on the inner portion of the waistband. I have worn this with and without a belt-with only a slight difference.

I'll try and get some photos of the rig on and post them up.

The handgun feels very secure in the holster-but there is no "snap in" retention similar to a kydex.

TR Sir, I'm glad to see you like your P2000. I have a 40 also, serial number 17 the first one sold to a civi . The LEM trigger gets much nicer if your swap out the springs and drop the factory 8lb to about 4.5lb.
You won't see the P2000 in a .45ACP, but the HK45 Compact will be. Bout the same size and also has the replaceable backstap. Great ergonomics, even "feels" like a 1911. I'm sure Mr. Vickers had something to do with that.
If you ever make it out to the PACNW we could shoot some HK's.

That's cheap enough to justify a practice mag or spare parts -- even for the free peoples outside of Calif.

I just ordered 5 of those yesterday. I picked up a P2000 .40 LEM w/ "2" 12rd and "1" 10rd plus 200+165grn Speer Gold Dots for $500. He was headed to Oki and couldn't take it along :)

Conceal carry?
 

So what is the consensus among you HK P2000 owners as to its size... will it effectively work as your concealed carry weapon in most clothes? ...Given the right holster.

Don't have the P2000, I do have the USP 40 Compact. It conceals very well with an inside the waistband holster. I also carry anything and everything depending on temp.

Winter carry is usually a fullsize USP 45 or 1911. Summer carry is a USP 40 Compact or Sig 228 in 9mm (yes I own a stun-gun :D )

As with the clothing issue and concealed carry I'd recommend the TR's Primer as a friendly reminder for those new to CCW and a refresher to all that do. I have it cut and pasted to a word document and review it pretty often (especially after deploying back to CONUS)
