TR,
I was wondering if my transcript would also be part of my packet even though I'm enlisting? I'm not worried just curious since I'm comfortable with my grades. Thanks. Off to the gym for me.:lifter

My introduction

Hello.

I'm currently an 18E student trying to find my way through the pipeline. The information on this site helped me decide to get an 18X contract almost 2 years ago, and it has helped my parents with all the questions they've had along the way.

I've got a lot of questions about life on a team, but it's mostly minor stuff... for example - is it still considered good taste to bring a case of beer to your first day at the team room?

Hello,

First off, I would like to thank all the moderators, quiet professionals and other members for allowing me to use this site and glean all the wisdom it has to offer. Also, the appearance of this site is outstanding.

I served four years in the United States Navy as an Intelligence Specialist (IS). I am currently interested in enlisting in the United States Army as a 98G, with hopes of getting assigned to a SOT-A. I have been researching this option for some time now, although I cannot find any information regarding the availability of assignments to SOT-A's. My recruiter has not been very helpful in this respect either, although he has been very helpful in other arenas. Any insight that anyone may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated.

I stumbled upon this site from the Almighty Google, and I must say that I am very impressed with the appearance and, more importantly, the content. Thank you again for this privilege.

Respectfully,

Semper_Libera:)

Hello,
I stumbled across your website while searching for mata mile distances on bragg. I looked around for a while and was impressed with both the content and attitude of the members. I am in tactical psyop and thought this might be a good way to learn more about supporting oda's downrange. I am in c co 9th POB which means I will be going with conventional forces downrange (marines):p.
Hopefully I will move to b co and go with SF, because most conventional forces dont really care to learn how to use psyop. Thank you for allowing me to learn as much as possible. See you on the mata mile.

That is rarely a bad idea, unless your Team Sergeant is a teetotaller.

Hello All,
I stumbled across this site about a month ago, and since then have been lurking around and quietly devouring as much information as possible. I am currently a reservist in the U.S. Army Signal Corp. My contract ends this spring and I plan on re-enlisting AD for SF. Outside the army I am a computer programmer in Orlando. I look forward, between PT and marches, to going back to a dark little corner to lurk. The QP’s really make this site an incredible resource. I’m glad to have found it.

Hello,
I want to thank the moderators and staff for giving me the opportunity to be a guest here. I was directed to this site by a retired Special Forces friend of mine. I graduated USMA in 1988 and served in the 2nd Armored Division and 401st M.P. Brigade. I left the Army in 1992 to pursue a career in Law Enforcement and have be doing so ever since. I have been a LEO for 13 years and a SWAT guy for 10. My firearms training has afforded me the honor and privilege to train with many Special Forces soldiers over the past few years. I also have a nephew who is very interested in becoming a Special Forces soldier and I wanted to get some good information for him. Thanks again.
