My wife translated a Filipino comment about Lolong's sedation:
"You can joke with a drunk, but not with one who just woke up. He might eat you alive."

I'm only scared of a couple of things - as a Florida girl, 'Gators are one of them. Out for a jog and literally ran up on this dude. Thank God he was about 12 feet. Any smaller and he would have been more agile.

A buddy and I were hunting wild boars in the Green Swamp a little North of Tampa when we came across one about that size. It was sunning on the bank of a TINY pond about 25' x 10'. I was amazed to see such a big gator in such a little body of water.

These three crocs were shot after Mac Bailey got taken as he was beaching his catamaran onLake Kariba, Zimbabwe, a few weeks ago. The croc shot out from between the hulls and hauled him back into the Lake right in front of his wife! They found his head in one, his arms and part of his torso in another and a leg in another. The largest croc is over 20' long and all are pretty close to that length. The man in the photo is 5'10" tall! No, there’s no photoshop used!
Mac was the first of two humans to be taken within a week on the Lake. Mac was very involved in sailing on the Lake.

[Note to self; No boating on Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe, ever.]

And there are people who don't believe in dinosaurs.

Well, there are some fine examples that they are still walking around.

Those things are amazing...the great whites of land and water.

Here I am , many years ago, emerging from the deep while spearfishing in Kariba. The free stuff is the infamous water hyacinth that plagues Kariba and hides waiting crocs.

I fear no human on this planet, that said Mother Nature is another story. I have the utmost respect for Mother........ I'm not kidding about boating in Lake Kariba, I know when I'm not #1 on the Apex Predator list....... ;)

Okayyyy ... so the score card stands like this so far ....

If you're in SEA, according to Chef, 'Don't get out of the boat.'

If you're in the African sub-continent, 'Don't get in the boat.'

Wow. What do you shoot those things with? I'm guessing showing up with numchucks is out of the question.

Maybe these German made numchucks might work.

A-10's or Apache's

Guymullins 01-23-2015 13:36

A 30-06 is fine for crocs. You need a brain shot or you will lose it in its dash for the water. I prefer my .375 H&H Mag, but thats because I use it for everything.
