Had to go to the judges' panel on this one. It is indeed a GMG, but the particular configuration is the Automatic Lightweight Grenade Launcher system adopted by Her Majesty's forces.

Great thread!

Ok, not a weapon as such, more like an 'exotic round'.
It's one crazy round, remember shooting these many moons ago, it would leave a long white flame outr the barrel. NOT very good carry rounds.

I thought I told you you weren't allowed to play until others had their chance? ;)

And it's a K1A, and the rail is a full rail. :D

Bulls eye!

Commonly known as THV's, most weapons would need the feeding ramp polished in order to feed them.

The ones i had the oppurtunity of playing with were for various handgun calibers and were only available for self-loading, ie. one could only buy the head.

The feller that used to load would load 'hot' powder in the shell and then fill the hollow base of the THV head with powder.

As i said, a looong white flame would trail the round when shot.

These reach unbelievable speeds, but due to their weight (very light) slow down rapidly. They have been know to perive armour but their trademark is the vacuum created by the velocity and hollow base. I have only ever shot paper with these but believe "instant jello" is applicable when shooting flesh.

Regardless, i am much more secure with good 'ole factory loaded rounds for carry.

That Daewoo's flash hider looks very familiar. Coud it be a direct copy of the old XM177E1/2"s? Looks like it has one exception though, the very front of it is narrower than the rest of the body indicating to me at least, a possible bayonet position.

MAB32 11-19-2006 11:20

hoepoe,

would that be a "Webley & Scott Mk VI 0.455in" Revolver?

Also, that is a "Mechem BXP 9mm", right?

prior to reading 762's above post.

OK, not really a weapon per se, but can anyone identify these? (Cause I can't)

MAB32 11-20-2006 20:11

Air.177,

those are German (East or West, I cannot remember)smoke grenades in white colored smoke. Can't remember the designation though. Interested in a trade?:)

MAB32 11-20-2006 20:20

Air.,177,

That wouldn't be a an old "singlepoint" or an O.E.G. (early model)?

So it would seem my dear MAB, So it would seem. I should've known you'd get it;) though I am suprised you recognized it in a proper mount and not hose-clamped to a carry handle

Correct, how about these 2:

MAB32 11-21-2006 07:04

Air.177,

it helps to have a couple of "Pictorial Histories" laying around.:)

MAB32 11-21-2006 07:19

hoepoe,

first one appears to be a South African "Striker", semi-automatic, 12-gauge. I have a question about the second one. Is it a 12-gauge, double-barrel, pump action?

Full points onthe Striker,it was later adapted to US laws and sold/used as a US Streetsweeper with an 18'' barrel.

On #2:
Type: pump-action ("forward-back" handguard movement instead of classic "back-forward", moving barrel)
Gauge: 12 ( 2 3/4" - 70 mm chamber)
Length: 690 mm
Barrel length: 570 mm.
Weight: 3.9 kg empty
Feed: dual over-the-barrel tube magazine, 6 + 6 rounds capacity

The US "Streetsweeper" and all other high capacity box/rotary mag fed shotguns were declared,"Destructive Devices" same as hand grenades, Grenade launchers, Recoilless rifles, German '88's, etc. by the 94 crime bill I believe. Now all of those type weapons are more severely restricted and require registration and supplemental taxation just like machineguns do in this country. Land of the Free and all that.

Now, I believe #2 is called a "Neostead" it is also South African in origin and as you mentioned, works much like a conventional pump shotgun, only backwards.

Good stuff, Keep 'em coming

I saw this on Weapons of the day. Great job guys.
Does anyone know where I can find one of these FULL RAILS ? That is, short of going to S. Korea.
Thanks, for any help.

It's over here, next to the stickie that says "Post an intro, complete your bio before posting anything else". No weapons for you until you can follow simple instructions.
