In my experience, you will have to search far and wide to find a worse company to deal with than Ceiner. They do not take credit cards, cash checks/Money Orders long before shipping products, deny warranty claims, have almost no customer service, and are generally rude to talk to.

I would have to say that I do not deal with them any longer.

That's a shame. I went with them, partly based on your posts lauding the kits themselves. I figured I could deal with poor customer service if I got a great product for my hassle.

Now I have to follow your cue again. This is my first transaction with them, and will be my last. That's a pity, if the product is of high quality.

They have continued to get worse as Mr. Ceiner got older.

I would not say that they are high-quality, rather that the ones I have handled have functioned properly, which is not something you can say about all of the sub-caliber kits.

If you decide to go with a Ciener kit buy one directly from Midway or Brownells. Do not under any circumstances buy directly from him! To say the guy is an asshole would be quite an understatement.

On a personal note, I've tried 3 different 22lr kit for my AR15 (Colt, M261 and the Ciener) and only the Ciener performs well so far. I've been through 2 bricks of Federal bulk and 1 brick of CCI Standard velocity and it's been 100% reliable even without changing springs for the standard velocity stuff. I was really impressed especially compared to the M261 that would FTE at least once per 10rnd mag. It's also the only one that works flawlessly with my 2stage Armalite NM trigger/notched hammer (I would get failures to fire on other kits).

Also big thumbs up for the Advantage Arms for both the 1911 and the Glock. Quality piece of kit.

FWIW, I received my Ceiner conversion kit yesterday. Came home from visiting a buddy at Walter Reed, and UPS had left it on the front step. One day after my post, five months after having my check cashed. I have yet to fire it, but I do have it in hand.

Seems well covered. Just to add that the Wilson kits are Marvel. Some Kimbers conversions are Marvel and some (the more recent years) are Ciener. Marvel are definately a big step up. Advantage Arms make a great Glock kit.

The Kart kits are the heat, when you can find one.

The mags may need some tweaking, though.

I have a Ciener and it doesn't want to fit on my Taurus PT1911. I've had it on my buddy's Kimber, two Springfields and an Ithaca. I guess the Taurus is less than Mil-spec altough it runs and shoots great as long as I feed it decent ammo. Anyone else have this problem? I intend to take it to a local (highly recommended) gunsmith for some tweaking.

Ceiner on a BHP
 

I have a Ceiner for the Browning that I have run pretty hard for the past for 6-7 years. Absolutely no issues on several pistols to include the Argentine FMs except when trying to talk to someone at Ceiner... I have looked to buy another but Brownells no longer offers the BHP kit, I saw another (BHP) kit a couple of years back but cannot find the maker.
